That wasn't her house, it was her grandfather's house. She assaulted her grandfather and the judge decided to protect him from further assaults. I don't know of any court where you can freely mouth off to a judge without repercussions.

But then, if the perp can't understand that society doesn't approve of visiting violence on your own Grandfather, probably shouldn't be suprised when the perp doesn't understand that cursing at the judge during your legal hearing isn't likely to contribute to a productive outcome.

Some reasonable contempt sentence is admittedly necessary to set a little example and to protect the integrity of the court, but the judge acted emotionally and probably unjustly based on a short reading of that link. It's just childish. Even if there's imminent danger they should still have to wait until she violates any court orders, as is usually done. That's almost a felony sentence for being disrespectful. She's probably exactly the kind of person who wouldn't respect the institution or understand how the state might justifiable limit one's freedoms in the way threatened, so to act all indignant and allow this scene to re-enact itself,

is arguably unprofessional.

"How you gonna tell me i can't go home" seems to be a rather reasonable question under the circumstances for someone with an obvious education and presumable intelligence deficit. How about giving her the 30 days and then giving her a short readers digest version of why they have to compel her to be (presumably) homeless, regardless of whether she accepts the reasoning.
