Yeah but there can be eggs that don't get killed. And you could have spread those to other people. And they can get into other places in your body. Even your brain.

Parasites are horrible. It's idiotic to allow them in on purpose. Even if for some reason there seems to be some bizzare benefit. If you get weaker or sick from anything else they will take over your body. Hookworms can drain enough blood to make you really fatigued and anemic. They can block your intestines also. Make holes in your stomach. Endless reasons these things should be eradicated.

Actually, it is a bad idea. The tapeworms will sometimes migrate to other organs of the body. They don't always stay confined to the intestines.

It's not completely without risk, but the risks are pretty minimal, especially compared to afflictions the technique can help.

If I had Crohn's I might consider it.

Food allergies, probably not. It's possible they could make it worse.

I remember a TV show a few years back called Bite Me With Dr Mike. That guy would purposely give himself a tape worm or other kinds of worms. Several weeks later he would take a worm pill & then shit them out in a strainer to show the camera. Crazy stuff.

Actually you don't lose weight. The worm does not need much calories but does drain you of B12 and other nutrients.

So little to no weight lose and you get sick.
