I will say that I don't like the idea of racer quads flying around people who aren't there to keep an eye on the things. The racers are fairly heavy and quite powerful and can do a lot of damage. Things can go wrong sometimes, like battery problems and an abrupt loss of control, or simple loss of signal.


It still doesn't make lying or over-dramatizing to the police ok.

Most FPV racers are the smaller 250mm style and weigh about 500-700g. My phantom with all its FPV gear installed is over 1200g.

Their top speed is probably around 45mph.

So getting hit by one would have the equivalent energy of a 90mph fastball. (120J) Although I'd rather be hit by a quad then a baseball as the quads tend to deform.

Mine being larger is also slower at 25 mph. Equal to a 70mph fastball or about 78J

It's also the reason I try not to directly fly over anyone.

If the local DA had a set he would use that GoPro recording and arrest her and charge her with obstruction of justice. Lying to an LEO who is collecting information about any incident is classic OOJ and she needs to be charged IMO.
