To be completely fair, I know where she is coming from to a certain extent.

There is nothing more pathetic than people that take their clown car of 5 kids to an upper-middle class neighborhood and dump them off "Ok kids, bring us home some candy!" Jesus fuck, it's one thing for kids to explore on their own, but parents will _LITERALLY_ dump their children off at the wealthier neighborhoods. Do you not see a clear problem with this? It's like teaching kids at an early age to look for the best handouts.

I remember as a kid going out with friends and actually having to MOVE my fat ass to places if I wanted to try a game of "find houses with the best candy".

Whatever, I guess I'm just a wealthy whitey living in a 140k home that wants to hoard all my candy.
I agree with this.

Here you go again...baiting. Then you fucking bitch and moan to the mods about people ganging up on you. GTFO.

Also, how do you know what goes on in every fucking neighborhood in America? Here's some real-world information for you, MINO...

I live in an upper-upper income area, houses in the $1m to $4m range and we do, indeed, see SUV's full of people on Halloween. They dump the kids off at one house and drive up one or two houses and wait for the kids to hit houses on both sides of the street. On to the next block, rinse and repeat. It is EXACTLY as Butch states in his post...almost to a 't'.

We used to decorate the house and front part extensively and have mini haunted house in the garage. It would take a week to get everything in order. We'd pull all the cars out of the garage and put them in back to use the 4 spaces for the mini-haunted house. When majority of trick-or-treeters were neighborhood kids, it was awesome and lots of people came not only for the candy but also the walkthrough for the 'scaries'. When it became apparent the majority of the trick-or-treeters were being hauled in by the truckload and simply wanted their handfuls of candy, we eventually wound down our decorating. We won't be doling out the candy this year either...yay for Halloween parties.

zip it skippy

No,I don't hate kids, I've been here since '94 and have always given out candy but please don't fucking tell me what I don't see, 75%+ are kids being driven around by parents for the simple reason that most houses are NOT giving out candy, in effect I was "subsidizing" my cheap lazy-assed neighbors who refused to participate. Even more annoying was kids complaining about what kind of candy or how much they got. Think I'll do what my dad did when the same kids kept coming back, start handing out slices of bologna in a sandwich bag.

So you have trains of SUV's just driving house to house?

I wish the less fortunate kids would stay out of my neighborhood too.
And I live in the ghetto.

I have seen this with my own eyes. Parents are over-protective these days. Just like they are more likely to drive their kids to school they are more likely to drive them around Trick'or'Treating.

Pretty much. In this day and age, everyone is afraid of their own shadow.

The media is to blame.

You know, it is rather humorous that I would hate this type of thing but my parents did this. They would take us to the "rich" neighborhoods to get candy. It was just par for the course for me growing up though. The only time I would attend church was on Easter, simply because my parents couldn't afford anything else.

Church is free, dude.

Except that they are and you seem to be the only one who hasn't noticed.

he lives in a shit neighborhood, of course no one is driving house to house there.

I see the same thing here, not house to house, just park in the neighborhood and walk around. Though in some of the quieter areas I see close to house to house. The area is pretty dense though, 6-8k sqft lots.

I usually take my kids across the street that is pretty quiet, get some good candy, full size bars often. Then I drive them to the popular area where the residents go overboard with the decorations, candy haul there generally sucks.

I have the opposite problem...I live in a secure building so I never get trick or treaters. When I lived in a different area, the only time I got annoyed by them was when teenagers would just wear a garbage bag. And they'd have those devilish grins, so it was extortion in a sense. If you don't give them any candy they might trash your house. Still kinda funny though. Anyways, I'd rather have this rich lady's problem of too many trick or treaters than what I have now, which is none. I think I liked Halloween more than Christmas when I was a kid. How can anyone hate on little kids having fun.

haha, I called it in post 6.

You'd think the recent loss in his life would have changed him somewhat...nope...still the utter douchebag he's always been.

Apparently, he has the power to be in all neighborhoods in the US at one time...amazing.

It isn't just greedy parents hoping to score a lot of candy. In this neighborhood people come from other areas because it is safe here. Most houses are lit up and welcome trick or treaters. Some houses do special effects and decorations. Sorry but I can't blame a parent for wanting to give their child this type of experience. Besides, it is simple, I sit on my porch passing out candy till it is gone, then I go inside, pull the shades down & turn off the porch light.

The funny thing is she is one of the 'less fortunates' in her neighborhood.

What a retard. Who cares if a child is doing something fun instead for out doing something bad. My parents live in a very nice area next to homes owned by many millionaires and celebrities (Bill Gates, Madonna, have homes there; Bruce Springstein bought two). No one seems upset that people are obviously driving to trick or treat in a nicer area.

The sad thing is many poorer neighborhoods are totally dark on Halloween. Even if they are having a party, they don't answer the door for the kids.

Alk, why do you persist to claim I'm lying?, no, there are no "trains" of SUV's but one every minute or two. FWIW I feel badly for the few local kids with almost every house darkened out on Halloween but last year was the tipping point for me, as one of the few that was giving out candy it got ridiculous seeing kids jumping out of vehicles then rushing back to see who else has their front light on, I wish things were different but they have changed.

So she's got money falling out of her arse and she only wants to give to the entitlted children.

This has to be a real life troll. She seems to only want to contribute to her own supposed kind.

She should simply turn off her porch light and go roll about in her stacks of money. Perhaps that will give her some satisfaction.

By the way, what street was that again?

yeah you hate kids. No one really drives an SUV house to house.

It's fun to talk about it online, but just think if all kids are doing that and the logistics.

GG.

yeah they do. We go to a friends house and let the kids go around the block wit his kids. We sat in the driveway drinking beer and giving candy away. kids would get out of cars and run up then run back. it was fucking silly.

but i would put it at 20% doing that vs %80 walking. still its fucked up

And my wife is disgusted with the whole concept because our maid has to stop pouring our wine and has to go toss cheap candy to these little begging cretins.
To make matters worse our foot massages are delayed.

Wait, you mean that poor people don't like dealing with other poor people - - so much so that they'll drive uncomfortable distances in uncomfortable seating arrangements.

But rich people feeling the same way, and not even trying half as hard to evade them? Screw them!

Well, we had a candy giver but he was stolen by the poor people and we thought it best simply not to replace him. The RTOI simply did not work out.

For a couple years we were getting the carloads where the parent would dump the kids at one end of the block and slowly drive down the street as the kids moved house to house. I felt like asking the parents how they could be so damn lame.

We also had one mother making the rounds with her infant. The kid was way too young to eat the candy.

The last few years we've had so few trick or treaters that we make sure to only buy candy we like. So the kids that do show up do pretty well.

A couple kids kind of got the hint that they were too old when my wife warned them not to drop their car keys.

I grew up in Detroit but we always went Trick or Treating in wealthier neighborhoods because they actually participated in Halloween and gave out candy. Some people even gave out money. It was cool as hell and none of the kids ever caused trouble. Everyone came out in their costumes and pillow cases, we walked up and down all the blocks for an hour or two and then we went home and compared our loot.

One of the coolest things about venturing outside of my neck of the woods to ask for Candy was that I got to see how more fortunate people lived and what could be possible for me. I bet this clown is not even thinking about it....these kids bother you once a year for candy...it has never crossed your mind that the experience for them to be among your presence is about more than the candy. A bag of candy is like $6...that's nothing compared to your salary.

The person who wrote this sounds like a wise and beautiful woman and I don't think its fake at all...it sounds like a legit complaint from some bitch with a stick up her ass. I bet $10 its a middle aged white woman.
