I think women in general are definitely less aware of courtesy or show appreciation on the road. I give up counting the amount of times where I've let a woman out of a junction or through in a blocked single carriageway and they've not waved or shown thanks. It's like a mindset of "It's my right for you to let me go first, i don't have to do anything". At least half to 3/4 the men will flash their headlights or wave thanks, women are perhaps 1/8th if any! Maybe it's just the UK as I cannot say for the rest of the female drivers on this planet!
