There's six months till release, that's a lot of time for final editing and testing cycles.
From what I read, it sounded like Whedon wasn't doing much more than filling in for Snyder after his daughter's suicide. In other words, he wasn't going to take the movie and make it into his own image, but rather try to work in Snyder's vision.
As some one who don't know shit about WW, this is a great intro on who she was, where her power come from and why she is take lead charging doomsday. Even Superman don't have all his ability until he learnt in MoSso ww being able to go toe to toe w/the monster that killed superman didn't affect the expectations of this movie at all?
(her invulnerability vs ww1 era weaponry)
Movie was decent. Best DC non animated movie so far.
1. WW
2. MOS
3. doesn't matter
I think the hype of this movie was unreal. I think it should be in the 50-60% range not in the 90s. Gal Gadot is a great WW. I was very skeptical at first but she killed. Given that the script and basic plot was terrible it goes to show that she really owned it.
BvS earned $52M in its second weekend, but experienced a 68% drop; Suicide Squad earned $43M and dropped 67%; and Man of Steel earned $41M and dropped 65%. If Wonder Woman had experienced a similar 60% drop this weekend, it would have only pulled in about $40M. But, with people eager to see this film on repeat viewings and it being one of the best films in theaters at the moment, Wonder Woman should continue make its presence felt in the weeks to come.
2nd best followup weekend for comic book movie.
Read a story about the photo, it was taken during construction of the sets shortly before release of BvS, so they had to "dress up" the completed sets once they got around to filming the scene for WW to maintain consistency.
2nd weekend drop off is about 45% meaning it is estimated to make 55% of what it made on opening weekend.
Wonder Woman thanks to good word of mouth has the best second weekend of all the DCEU movies while having among the smallest or the smallest production budget (not counting advertising costs)

Question:
Was Wonder Woman a goddess in the comics?
I always thought she was just "Queen of the Amazons"
Question:
Was Wonder Woman a goddess in the comics?
Had the same question when I saw, never got an answer but even ignoring the written side of the character make for an interesting set up for the film version.

sorry, what photo?
“It meant that when we eventually got around to shooting the scene that the [photograph] is from, we had to really painstakingly recreate it,” Bremner continued. “Because we [took the photo] against a half-built set, in a way sets were still being built at that point. So by the time we came around to filming that scene, probably around five months later, the sets were much more developed. So we had to find a way to recreate the exact same image after half a year had gone by.”
her mother is queen of the 'zons. the amazons were made out of clay and had souls stored in the well of souls from oppressed women throughout the ages or something. the clay was at the bottom of the agean sea (again, or something) and they were made as adults. hippolyta was the 1st to get to the surface and she became queen. originally she co-ruled with her sister iirc but she left along with other 'zons after hercules invaded and raped the queen. the gauntlets are a reminder of their time of captivity. 5000 on and some 'zons went crazy not having a kid. some made dolls/whittle babies and thought they were real. 1 amazon killed 1 or a couple of these amazons. hippolyta also affected made a baby out of clay, prayed and then SHAZAM. it came to life. obviously this was Diana. the amazon who killed the crazy amazon saw Diana as a monster. a dragon and tried to kill her but was stopped and has been in prison ever since, but still loyal to her queen.
ok that was longer than i though. anyway, a few years back DC rebooted (again) and now (new 52) Diana is a demi-goddess as the daughter of hippolyta and Zeus.
in the comics she as once a full blown goddess for a while but gave it up cos (iirc) she couldn't do as much good. that and boredom. in the gail simone (pre new 52) wonder woman she develops lightning powers due to her having gauntlets made from Zeus' ageis when she fights a hawaiian goddess after Zeus kills her father and tears his heart out to make a new male Amazon king or some such.
if that's a mess, sorry, I've been up 5 mins and haven't had my coffee yet.
This photo, shot before Batman V Superman was released in the theaters, and before WW began filming.
Wonder Woman’s Vintage Photo Was Tough to Pull Off
Nah that was pretty good, and figured it would be messy with the number of recent DC reboots.
