Yep,

Got my acceptance a couple days ago, and I'll be studying in Downtown Toronto next fall, with the Faculty of Applied Sciences, towards my degree in Computer Engineering Shame though, I got rejected from the University of Waterloo... just missed the cut off, by a percent *grumble*

Anyways, I'm curious if anyone else on the forums will be going to UofT next year, or even entering the Engineering program there, it'd be cool to at least vaugely know some people.

UPDATE: Well this morning, right after Prom, I received an email from Waterloo Admissions, offering me a position at Waterloo Computer Engineering... I'm so incredibly exstatic, this is amazing, well no more UofT, but Waterloo here I come!

I thought you mean t.u. (texas university for those who don't know), in which case I was going to apologize...

Congrats tharyn, I know a few people in 3rd/4th year comp eng there and they're doing fine in it so far, if you actually have interest in the field, I'm sure you'll do well!

Congrats! Me and MartyTheManiak just completed our first year over there (we are also in Comp Eng). I think Bluga finished his 3rd year there. If you need any help or have any questions about Engineering or UofT feel free to PM me.

Don't worry, I too got rejected from UofWaterloo for Comp Eng. :|

Be prepared for a lot of work and studying. Engineering ain't easy to begin with, and UofT goes out of their way to make it extra difficult.

Boo, UofT engineers j/k

I'm a life sci-er / pre-med at UofT myself. I was lucky enough to have the choice between CompEng @ Waterloo or Life Sci @ UofT. I'm VERY glad I chose life sci, now that I see the hell that my Waterloo friends are going through.

Congrats man, I know a few Comp. Engineers heading into 4th year this September (doing comp. sci. at Ryerson myself) who might not object to taking a n00b under their wing. In any case, good luck - from what I hear, you'll need it!

My indy friends really love the program there, it gets to be a LOT of work at times (which engineering program doesn't?), but from what they tell me, it's interesting stuff. One friend particularly liked the course having to deal with ergonomics and human form factors (I don't remember the name of the course). The profs seem to be pretty good on average as well, although there are a couple of the token boring as hell profs.

Hey, any of you guys from U of T Engineering, going to be there at the "orientation / luncheon" tomorrow around noon or so? If you are, drop me a PM.

Yeah, I have a feeling it'll be great though, I got accepted into Waterloo Comp Sci, but well my heart's with Engineering, and I've really got the interests, thanks for all the kind words!

Well I had low 90s with lots of Extra-Curricular Activities, like Student Council, and lots of other organization, and well I got rejected.

Waterloo doesn't really have set in stone acceptance averages, they take a lot into consideration.
