Well... Sort of. It's back with a company that I used to work with. From AT&T to Comcast, laid off for a month or so, then back to AT&T. I got a call offering a full time position, and I took it. I start Monday. No more part time positions for meeeee!!! Medical and dental benefit eligibility! The company paying for school and for me to get my cirtifications! More hours for a bigger paycheck!

Even thought I start Monday at a training class for the job, I've already been through the whole thing and have been out on the floor taking calls for quite a long time. The training class is required, but I can't decide whether to listen as a refresher course, or to bring a pillow and blanket.

Ahhhhh... I feel quite a lot better now.

Well, I would give almost anything to be able to talk to Eyecandy... I haven't been able to reach her all morning. But I know I'll get to talk to her later, so it's all good. Anyway, this place wasn't the best place to work, but they fired some of the worst people, so it'll be decent again - I hope. We'll find out come Tuesday morning. Monday is training all day, so I don't get to harrass anyone on the phone until Tues.

Yeah, I applied to this tool rental place about 10 minutes from my house. They said they would start calling people this past Monday, but I haven't got a call. I guess it's a good thing they didn't call! It would have been fun running around the yard with a grease monkey jumpsuit and being all manly and such, but I think at this point in my life, I would prefer to do tech support. I hated working with people who already had it out for you before you picked up the phone, but some things have changed since then. I've mostly liked helping people, and I love working with and learning about technology. So this fits.

I also started talking to old friends from Intel to see if I could get back on there, but the purchasing department just isn't up my alley. Are there people here at Anandtech that work for Intel? Well, besides the guy who just got a job in Fab23?

Haha- well, see, that's the thing. With a split T1 at my work, my ppd will go up. I have 15 right now, but that's spread out. It's more like 20/day or 30/day on some days. I'll be posting more often at work.
