Excuses are like assholes... Make friends at the gym and drag your gf to train too she could probably lose a couple pounds, problem solved. I'm walking around at close to 270 and have no problem getting enough food in, going out makes it easier to gain weight. I should be closer to 255-260 but I've been slacking a few months too.
My original self wanted to actually become a HW but I changed my mind and want to stay at 200-205ish lean.
It's better in the long run for my body health-wise. In addition, I'd rather be faster and stronger than overly strong and not fast. When you add mass you become slow and your gas tank suffers. From running I remember when i was 155ish and I was lightning fast compared to now. I'll try to work to get my speed back.
Sure if I bulk up to 220-250 or whatever I'll be strong as hell but I'd rather be as strong as possible for 200-210ish while also being able to sprint fast, do athletic manuevers / freerunning and basically adapt to multiple sports ( if I wanted to do MMA again which I think I will ).
I still eat a lot to maintain, but that's my reasoning for not legit BULKING like before.
And yeah, I do plan on dragging the gf to the gym soon. Getting her to squat at home on my volume days.
