They haven't made S2's in over 10 years, and I don't think they ever brought them to the US.

I'm waiting for the tuners to come out for the Speed6...

I saw some dyno readings from a Speed3 that had just AF ratio tuned...and the gains were insane. The Speed's run pig rich stock...

Yeah, APR Tuning chip probably, 40-50 HP, 90lbs of Torque extra.

41600 is the MSRP, but like I said, I paid MUCH less.

Base MSRP on the A4 2.0T is $28,240. I realize you have the top of the line S-line, but do all those options add up to a MSRP bump of over $13k?

It depends on the car quite a bit. Some cars with things like turbos and supercharges benefit more from tuning that a normal car would. Generally, the ECU sets a AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) on the rich side to protect the motor, and to account for things like cold starting and operation. In general, the leaner the AFR, the more power you make...to a point. If you go too lean...you get detonation and engine damage...too rich, and you just get bad mileage and a cooler running engine.

The factory will err on the side of caution for a mass produced car.

First off, that is a base. Mine is a A4 2.0 T Auto with Quattro. Base = 31,500
