Woot! Real rain in SoCal!!!

I love rain. The lack of real rain is one of the few things I hate about SoCal.

Weather stations all were promising rain, but I've heard that before. :roll:

But this is real! My backyard is flooded! WooHOOO!!

Of course, I just did the interior of my bus and haven't redone the door seals yet. So there's a bad side there. That and the wipers don't work yet. But I still love rain!!! Hahahah!!

having lived in the desert for the most part in my childhood without rain... i used to love it... but coming to New england, US and getting rain every once in 2-3 weeks has made me hate it.. LOL

I drove home last night from simi valley (about 60 miles). Saw FIVE accidents. One guys bumper was right in the middle of the freeway over the hill! He ran into the divider on the side and his car was sticking out halfway into the right lane. So dangerous. Another jeep was flipped over. Someone else rearended someone. Someone else looks like went up the hill on the side of the freeway. I swear socalers freak out where there is any rain at all.

I think part of the problem is there is no state inspection for vehicle safety. I've seen more cars/trucks with bald tires here than anywhere else I've lived. Morons. It rains infrequently here and when it does the first one is always the worst because the oil collected on the roads lifts right up and makes it more slick than normal wet roads. That+bald tires=accident.

Man, it was pouring here last night/early this morning. I love it when it rains.

PBS Kids just announced a flash flood warning for a number of areas in San Diego.

Down here in LA, when it rains it's major news. Rain to us is like hurricanes to those East Coasters.

The rain got really loud about 2 AM for me. Woke me up, looked outside and it was pouring. My garage was flooded this morning. Ruined a bunch of disposable stuff. =\ Oh well, I enjoy the rain anyways.

Heh, the Northeast doesn't have real rain either. The thunderstorms are what I miss from FL. I haven't seen anything I would call a "storm" since I moved to NY over 5 years ago.

I like rain, we don't get a lot of rain in southeast Idaho either, except during the spring and fall.
