Verrrrry Interesting. This was a long day. Up at 6:00am for an 8:00 am stage call. Had 8 seperate services to wire and two sets of spares for the various needs. There were 2: 400 amp, 3 phase mains services required for basic lights and sound. There was a 200 amp three phase for the video and projectors. THEN we added another video truck service in case the Generator that was feeding the trailer doing the taping and editing for the Broadcast, failed, we would have a redundant supply at hand.
Needed a seperate 100 amp single phase 120 drop for the photo studio that they set up in the warehouse space of the Bi-Lo center. That was the smallest cable I dealt with all day and it was
We connected a ground for that generator truck to the Arena's water pipes that cool the air chillers with 4/0 power cable and connected it all with CAM-Lock type connectors. Heck, most every thing was wired with 4/0 cable at the ties in where I was involved.. Actually there were 5:4/0 cables Bundled together for most of these service feeds.
They also fed a 400 amp , 3 phase 120 BACK from the Genny in case one of the house supplied services failed. Did I mention the Generator truck had dual 4k Caterpiller powered Gennies on a flat bed Peterbuilt chassis? and had fuel tanks the size of a small mini sub?
Found 3 bad 200 amp 3 phase main breakers at the center, Notified the Operations director as we were going out. Glad I'm not the one who pays for those.
Quite the spectacle, fer sure. Was eating lunch and I look over and I'm eating lunch with Eddie Guererro. I said "Hello",he says "Hey"...nods and sipped his soup.... you know, eating lunch.....
Other wrestlers were coming into the catering hall there, no big deal,
more to come tomorrow, no :camera:'s,check it on TV.
