Today I learned that the World Cup isn't even a cup. They should call it the The World Held Up by a Skull-faced Woman tournament.

Your World Series only involve NA teams and represent businesses. The only reason it is not just an American thing is because of Toronto Blue Jays.

Yeah but we do have Canadians, Mexicans, Venezuelans, South Koreans, Japanese, Dominicans, etc that all play in the league...

American pro baseball teams are easily the best in the world so it's somewhat accurate to say it technically. Next best would be the Japanese and the step down in talent is quite large.

Having said that, approx two thirds of the world doesn't play baseball at all and thus doesn't care.

That should not be too surprising, there are a lot of very talented African players, but they are playing for others teams, like France. But in the end, its up to the player.

From what ive been told, only Brazil and Argentina had a team of 100% native born players.

source? I don't see how the traditional power houses don't have enough talented native born players to fill their team.
