I use and like compact fluorescent lamps; I think their light is fine and that they have big advantages in efficiency. And frankly I get irritated if a client insists on incandescent lighting. But incandescents work fine in some situations. I urge people to use compact fluorescent lamps - but much as I like them I prefer freedom, if I have to choose between the two.
There are many things you'll never get the Freedom to choose, because they have been disallowed for one reason or another. The only difference between Them and Incandescent Lighting is that for a time Incandescent Lighting was practically your only choice. Removing Incandescent Lighting as a choice is no more an Infringement on Freedom as removing CFC's from Refrigerators was an Infringement on Freedom.

Right because we have so much to be concerned about when it comes to standards of living. God forbid I have to cancel my HBO. The vast majority of Americans have cell phones, high speed internet, air conditioning, flat screen TVs. We're unbelievably spoiled.
Frankly I do not think standard of living even matters because regardless of how good or how bad it is, people are too selfish to make even small sacrifices for the greater good.

No, I didn't. Rights/Freedoms are intertwined, but not exactly the same concept. Rights being very Rigid and Freedoms being much less Rigid and modifiable for various reasons by Society either through Law or other means.

I saw nothing of "rights" in your original question. You responded to my answers with "you have no right to incandescent lighting and tried to keep saying I had no right to this that or the other when I was speaking of freedoms.
And BTW, your definition is why we are headed down the slope into authoritarianism. I should have the right to be free to do as I please so long as I am not harming others. Incandescent lighting harms no one.
