I got an e-mail from them today. It's a New or Open box package. It states that it's Complete, in Original Packaging with All Accessories.
There is a risk seeing as it's sold AS IS and if the cd-key was swiped you may end up having to ship the cd to Blizzard for replacement.

Shipping 2nd day air was $9 and change for me. If I wanted 2 copies it would have been about $4 extra in shipping.

Ok looks like worst case scenario is you would have to send the cd and a copy of your receipt to Blizzard for replacement.

Your World of Warcraft Authentication Key should be located on the cover of the manual if you have a Collector?s Edition, or the back of the CD case if you have a Standard Edition.

If you are certain the Authentication Key is not present there or anywhere else inside your copy of World of Warcraft, you should return your copy of the game to the place of purchase as soon as possible, and request an exchange.

Just as if the game were missing a disk or the instruction manual, a copy of the game that is missing an Authentication Key is defective. If the place of purchase is not able to provide you with a complete copy of the game, we can replace the Authentication Key per the instructions below.

Please mail in the World of Warcraft instruction manual to the P.O. box listed below. If the manual is missing, please send the CD case in its place. If you are missing both the manual and the CD case, you can send one of the game CDs. If you must do this, be sure to pack the CD as securely as possible; we are not responsible for any damage occurring from mailing the CD to us.

A $10 US dollar money order is required to cover processing costs for each Authentication Key replacement. No personal check or cash will be accepted.

Blizzard (against consumer protection laws mandating the validity of resale) does not allow you to use a CD key that's already been used to make an account. Their database is referenced to a hash of the CD key, rather than the actual account name, and it's impossible for them to delete it.

The best thing to do, in that case, would be to use their 'stolen CD key' recovery system.

I wouldnt touch this with a 10foot pole. Blizzard will not give you a new CD key (this is from experience). They will direct you to return it to the merchant for refund/replacement. If you do the lost key thing, you will always have a threat looming over your head. Whoever used that game originally can also do the lost key thing if he has the CD key written down and steal your account from you.

I'd be wary of this. Blizzard just recently banned thousands of accounts for hacking and selling goods on ebay. I'd venture to guess that more than just a few of these used copies are from banned accounts, and I'd really doubt that Blizzard would reactivate an account they closed.

Well, this only makes sense since the original account is saved forever (meaning it can be reactivated at any time with all characters present) so if someone else could open one again on the same cd-key that presents a problem.
However, you can pretty easily just transfer the account AND the cd-key to someone else...that's how all the ebayers that sell to foreign countries where they didn't have WoW do it (since you need a US address to open an account).

Got my copy today. The box was opened and it looked like the cds had been handled but they didn't have any scratches, and the manual is in good shape.

I was worried about the cd key but when the accounting server finally came up :roll: I was able to enter my retail cd key with what looks like no problem. It congratulated me on my purchase and put my free month as pending after my 10 day trial.

Not bad for less than $30 shipped 2nd day.

Express Saver takes 1-3 days so overall it is slower.

When I bought my retail version, it included a month subscription and also a 10 day guest pass. What free month are you talking about? You're counting the included 1 month sub. as a free month are you?

Stop thinking...you may give yourself a headache. I don't play this game but if this is legit, this is a very hot deal. I'm tempted but I vowed never to touch another MMORPG after Final Fantasy XI.

I used the 10 day trial that came with my wife's copy. I decided I'd like to play so I ordered a retail copy from consumerdepot. I got the 10 days from the trial, then another 30 days for the retail box software purchase.

I just realized though that I didn't get the paper with cd key for the 10 day free trial that you give to another person. Considering I'm the last one to sign up for WOW I didn't really need it anyhow.
