Did you just have to send the manual or cd case ? Blizzard isnt to far from me so the turn around should be pretty quick. And the manual shouldnt cost too much to ship. Thanks for the info.

Just got mine. It's obviously a return from Best Buy and it's been opened and such. No 10 day guest pass, everything else was there though. CD key did not work...already been used. Just send Consumer Depot an email, hopefully they'll turn around and send out another copy.

On the bright side, Blizzard did send me a valid key when I followed the proper channels with the invalid key I had received (and did not charge me the $10 fee since it was within 30 days), so if you do get such a key, you will probably still have a good deal if you follow Blizzard's key replacement procedure, if you don't mind the extra effort, shipping fee to Blizzard, and time spent waiting.

Can you give a brief outlone of going through the proper channels with Blizzard. I would believe blizzard would be more than happy to honor the deal because the subscriptions is where they are making the cash.

Which angers me that the game still costs so much. But 3.5 MILLION (Dr Evil) people later Im dead wrong and they are making tons of cash on both ends.

Maybe now they can afford to make STARCRAFT 2!!!

I don't understand. The main cost of MMORPGs is the monthly payment. Why wouldn't you just pay extra cash for something less risky?

I will see if I can explain. If you already bought one account, and you just need a second account and not even the software cd's, you don't want to spend another $50 bucks basically for a cd-key. You don't want any manuals, cd's, packaging, etc. That is one scenario where this would be a better deal. I am sure there are others. Besides, if you are willing to throw an extra $30 bucks away, why are you even coming to a hot deals site?

Then again, everyone here has a right to decide whether or not a risky deal is a hot deal.

Did you get it rma'd ? Mine should be here tomorrow so just in case I get a bad key I want to know what I should do.

I just got it. And guess what ? The authorization key is ripped off or should i say torn. Cuz not only is the sticker but part of the box that holds the cd's is gone. This sucks! Erick1285, any luck with the rma situation ? I shouldve waited . BB has it for $40 again. I couldve gotten a pricematch at cc where i have a giftcard. Oh well...

Only the collector's edition comes with the 10 day guest pass, so it is not missing it. Unless they changed this?

Update: I just went ahead and sent my cdcase and a letter to blizzard the same day I got the game. And they just sent me an email with
a new key and also saying that there sending me back my case along with the cd key. So if anyone has this problem forget about
the rma. Consumer depot wanted me to send the whole thing back. That wouldve costed a few bucks and about week or two. I sent the
cdcase to blizzard for 60cents. And got it back in 2 days. Pretty neat. Blizzard rocks! Time to check this out now.

I hate how this game takes like 1 hour to install...it's so painful to go through 4 CDs, and then go through numerous patches which take just as long to d/l and install

Could everyone who received the item in non-working condition please send me a PM? I'm extremely pissed at consumer depot for screwing so many of us. This is their problem, not blizzard's. I refuse to let them get away with this. I've just sent my final email to them, and if I do not receive a reply by Monday, I will be contacting a lawyer friend to threaten a class action. So obviously the more people I can get together, the more serious this matter will look in consumer depot's eyes. At this point I really don't care about my $27. It's the principle of the matter that counts, and if I have to strong arm consumer depot into doing the right thing, I will.

Did you read my post ? Dont bother with consumer depot. I sent the cdcase with the ripped off cd key to them the same day i got the game. Only cost me .65 cents with
confirmation. The next day I got an email with a cd key and that there sending me back
my cd case with the cdkey. It came a few days later. And it was a brand new case, not the torn one. But Id already been played with the cdkey they emailed me which of course was the same one they mailed me. I live in southern california so it may take a couple of more days of you live in other states but still theyll do it. And I didnt even send
$10. I wrote a short letter explaining to them what happened and since it hadnt been 30 days if they can please waive the $10 fee.
