OK so I'm looking for a good WOW guild. I play on the Ther'dalas (or something like that) server and haven't had any good experiences with the guilds I've seen. Anyone a member of a guild they enjoy?
What level are you and how much do you play? If you're 60 you can try joining a raiding guild, they're almost exclusively made up of older & thus more mature players; you'll never see "ne1 up 4 onyxia 2nite plz??//?/ lolololol" Some have play time requirements, but many (most?) don't, so even casual players, so long as they're 60, can join.
Yeah you won't see the blatant ones, but you'll still see the closet ones, which are worse. For instance on my server there's a level 60 warlock who is on the raid scene. He regularly, as in at least once a day, brings an infernal to ironforge and lets it loose. I was unfortunately in a raid with this person once, and at least 50% of the communication he sent was saying how much damage his shadow bolt was doing and how awesome his damage is and telling the mage how he is doing almost as much damage.

Any bushel has a few bad apples, but you'll never see a raiding guild with an average age of 15 in which guildchat looks like an AOL chatroom... ie.
Leetmaster tells the guild, "lololol wut iz 4 pst!111!"
Ubard00d tells the guild, "ne1 iz 2 wut b"
Leetmaster tells the guild, "roflololo u c 4 ne1"
A friend of mine (who doesn't speak this way) is level 40 or so and in a guild like that, I know because I log onto him (rogue) when I need a lower level box picked.
