If this truly is the game, why would they have the actual game listed for $49.82, like someone else said. This sounds a bit strange.

mchammer187 you're probably right (means I was wrong), reg. ed. will probably have a one month's pass.

Strange thing about the Walmart items, the one for $29.82 has a release date of 11/22/2004, the one for $49.82 is 11/16/2004. I'm clueless as to what's going on there. But they both have the same Wal-Mart Item #, that is 000000000

I'm definitely getting the collector's ed.

I'm a sucker for collector's ed. things especially for DVDs that I like haha.

But man, $80 is steep...although I did pay $65 for the WCIII: RoC collector's ed.

Rumour going around is that the CE exclusive pets are Zerglings from Starcraft and a mini Diablo.

I myself am getting the CE version, but this is a hot deal if it goes through.

I played the stress test beta and absolutely loved the game.

Anyone else notice they upped the price on the item in the original link to $49.82? Wonder if any of you who ordered it at $29.82 have had any communication from Walmart? If not, and your orders go through, you got a great deal.

No.

If you're interested in the collector's edition, here's what you get:

· The full game on both CD-ROM and DVD-ROM
· 1-month subscription to World of Warcraft
· The Art of World of Warcraft, 200+ page hardcover art book
· World of Warcraft Behind-the-Scenes DVD
· Exclusive in-game pet
· Official soundtrack
· Cloth map charting the continents of Kalimdor, Azeroth, Khaz Modan, and Lordaeron
· Signed Collector?s Edition game manual
· 10-Day Free Guest Pass ? invite one of your friends to join the epic quest

See: link (their price is $80)

I played the beta stress test and it was awesome. Best gaming experience I've had in years.

i am pretty sure the regular edition will have a 1 month pass

no other MMORPG has not given you a free one month pass and i think it would be foolish for blizzard to not give a free month for th egame

the collectors edition will have a 10 day free press for a friend + the DVD + sound track + art book + map and special manual + a copy of WoW on DVD and a copy on CD

that is why it is $80

the regular will have a free month , the game and regular manual

Wrong. If you check ebgames or something they will say in the description that there is no service included in the regular edition. Kinda sucks huh? Hopefully blizzard will change that or something.

well ebgames doesn't say that that a full copy of the game on CD-ROM will be included with the regular game or instructions do either
can we assume there won't be

i will bet $500 that they will include a free month's pass with a regular edition game

any takers?

also it says "Monthly Service is required" on the regular edition

doesn't meant it is not required for the collector's edition as well

that is like saying if a cell phone provider gives you a free month of service than monthly service is not required

at Buy.com, the Collector's ed. is only $67 something for preorder. Not sure if it has free shipping or not.

but definitely way cheaper than other places.

Buy.com, charges shipping and tax to california. I checked it out and the price comes up to around $80 with all those included. Another negative side to buying from buy.com is that if you cancel your order a few days before, they'll still send it to you and charge your card. I'm hoping to find a deal with a free strategy guide or something with the purchase of collector's edition.

I'll wait to see what Fry's has release week. When WC3 came out, they had the $80 collector's edition for like $40, so I bought it there

That's funny. When I go to Walmart and look up my order, I get a link to the item I purchased. When I click on that link, it says "World of Warcraft Time Card PC." Can anyone confirm or unconfirm that our $30 orders were just for a time card?

If it truely is a time card, then the price makes sense.

Also, I wouldn't worry about walmart, ebgames etc release dates. They're just estimates. Until Blizzard announces the official release date, anything these other websites list is just guesses.

That's not the game, it's a game card that you can use to pay the monthly fee. This card is probably for 2 months. There was a discussion about these game cards in the WoW forums because people outside US would have to use these in order to play on the US servers.
