i quit back in january because i was sick of pveing for 6hrs a night every night .... i got back into the game back in april and started pvping like a madman because i dislike pve so much ... and now i'm burned out on it... the game is just so mind numbingly boring once you get to level 60...there's just nothing fun to do except grind, grind, grind =/

No, it really isn't. The game really is heading towards (or really already has headed towards) mass raiding with 40 players and 10-20 hours a week

whoa people really play games as a part time job. I can't imagine that.

Most people watch that much tv. I don't know about you, but watching people eat bugs would bore me quickly. Playing a game which offers tactical challenges and social interaction is a fantastic hoby.

I quit in march due to a new job and just general boredom. Been thinking about restarting again...but by now i've been out of commission for so long I don't want to go through the trouble of regearing and re-ubering.

oh wells. wow is dead to me.

Good Choice with the Priest. Level 1-59 is the best experience ever but once you hit 60, be prepared to heal all day long. It'll make you hate wow.

Stay away from MMORPG. It will suck your life away and you wonder why you wasted 2 years of your life. It's worst than drug

I thought it was a real boring game, only tried it for a few hours though, it was really glitchy at the time. It was a free private server too, so there weren't many people on. I got a fairly good taste of the game though and it just wasn't fun back then. I might try and give it another shot (on a free server somewhere...but don't tell anyone )

yep. i think gaming is better than watching 95% of the mindless drivel on tv now. with games you are interacting with other people (if its an online game), you may even be using your brain to solve puzzles or devise a strategy.

its probably not as good as doing some kind of physical activity or hanging out with friends though. depends on the situation i guess.

I've been playing for about 2 years... Unfortuantely, I've got a heavy case of ADD, and kept starting new characters, so my main is a 52 Troll Priest, and I have an assortment of 40 level characters. I've been having a blast playing PvP, mostly WSG. I quickly tired of running instances, and I think I might be SOL if I actually make it to 60.

I DO think that WoW is ok for people that only want to play a few hours a week. Between the lower level battlegrounds, smaller instances, and solo questing, there's plenty to do to keep a non-hardcore player happy.

yeah that is a good point people do watch a lot of tv. I'm not one of them..2-3 hours a week tops. What do people do that they have 20 hours of just "free" time.....im doing something wrong.

you based the game on your experience on a free server? free servers never have a population that can even touch the real server's population. plus there's no support and their usually buggy and fvcked up. no wonder you had a bad experience...

Come to drak'thul, I started in with a couple of guys doing UBRS runs. Now we are getting enough numbers for ZG runs. Probably end of folding some smaller guilds into our numbers. Pretty nice bunch of guys, I think it's more 20-25 people year old people.

Mostly we've been doing .5 chain stuff while we increase our manning for guild only raids. Also getting FR gear and keyed up is another priority. Send crustymcsuds a shout if you want to go horde.

For transfers, it's a small server and hordes downed Nef maybe two or three times. Alliance opened AQ and I have no clue where they are in AQ or Naxx, if they are doing it.

I used to play and have a level 54 war on sargeras. I then quit 3 months ago. Best thing I've done this year. I don't think I would ever go back. Games are already a waste of time, but leveling up to obtain pieces of armor in the game just to be able to do more raids is just useless. I'll stick to my fps and hit man.

My old server had a rank 14 shadow priest *shrug*.

I never understood the aversion to healing. Do you feel like the leet hero for spamming autoshot, backstab or heroic strike? Seeing those big numbers over their heads? Well, young Timmy, go roll another night elf rogue. And good luck finding a guild. Healers are the truly powerful classes in MMORPGs, especially WoW where we're able to do astonishing damage in the name of PvP balance while still doing something 5 of 9 classes in the game cannot do - heal. Plus there's an ungodly satisfaction in being able to save someone... then remembering what a jackass they are and how they spam guildchat with insightful comments like "wut 4 plz 2 b ne1 ololol"... and letting them die instead

FWIW on my ele/resto shaman I can lead the damage or healing meter in instances, depending what I'm needed to do (the ability to fill multiple rolls is great), beat just about anyone in a duel aside from a good soul link warlock, and lead kills charts in BGs without even trying; while playing to help the team to win.

because sitting in the back and watching little bars 99% of the time is not fun...
This might as well be a healer's screen.

Basically....all these games are like one HUGE GRIND. Whether your in a group, or alone, you're just killing crap to level up. Once you hit 60, you just continue doing the same raids day in and day out just so one hunter can get the leet epic chest piece he wanted.

Seriously. I had a 60 priest. In those PVP battegrounds, if the opposing team was decent, they all focused fire on the priest. Your cloth armor doesnt provide much protection. Besides obtaining rank 14 is a test of patience. The grind is tremendous.

Healing in raids is just staring at a bunch of health bars.

Personally, I'd wait for the expansion pack. Besides a few new instances, not all that much has changed.

If you only raid / act as a group healer 99% of the time, that's your own doing.

And people differ. It's a more challenging task. For those for whom spamming sinister strike over and over is a bit too easy, it can be a lot of fun In 5mans I actually prefer to heal, though we'll often get a priest and I end up in DPS mode

Lastly roll an alt. 99% of healers in the real raiding guilds I've been in have had warrior alts. They're often allowed to attend farm raids. My alts are a druid and a priest though

Healing is by far the most difficult "challenge" in wow raiding, yeah. That being said, MMOs are not "skill" based games, all that is required is a brain, time, and attitude.

A lot of people prefer dps classes so you can be like "omg 3000 crit fireball pewpew". But if you are in a guild, based on progression, healers have to heal. It's that simple.

Re-roll. I don't think there is a shortage of NE Hunters anywhere.

Now, Female Dwarf Priests - that's where the glory rests.

I stopped play wow for a bout 2 weeks, and I'm slowly trying to pick it back up again. I wish I had the patience to re-roll and level up a second character.
