These are without a doubt disgusting and cowardly acts and actions against those that committed this heinous crime should be taken swiftly and with great resolve.
But, we must temper our anger with reason.
War, to me seems unreasonable. These are most likely the acts of a cowardly few and war would not only pull in the guilty minority but the innocent majority.

We need to find a better solution (if there is such a thing).

Here in Dearborn, which is the largest population of people of Middle Eastern desent outside of the Middle East, I have heard from a couple of sources that all of the gun shops are selling guns and amunition as fas as they can. Allot of fear is going around.

Agreed. I sincerely hope that the government or Americans don't stoop to the levels which they fell to during Pearl Harbor, where there was rampant Japanese-phobia and hatred amongst American citizens against domestic residents. As a descendant of Japan living in America, this hits home.

I was never horrified of blood, corpse, or anything else. I can truly say this is the most disturbing news or anything I've seen. I was shocked by the Oklahoma bombing, but that is nowhere near the magnitude of this attack. The only instance in history that can compare to this event is probably Pearl Harbor. But then again, these attacks were on civilian buildings. What sicken me more are the people who are celebrating the attack. Even enemies of war have the respect and dignity to mourn each other. If I was part of a terrorist faction, I would keep my mouth shut and not claim any involvement at all. I do now believe the US will retaliate in the worse way.

I?ve never believed in vigilantism until now.

Nothing is confirmed yet. No one has yet the faintest clue who or which organization is behind those attacks.

Arafat represents the Palenstinian Authority, which has very little authority as is obvious by his lack of ability to halt the violence by the Palestinians. i would be afraid to be in Dearborn right now. I have been cursed at by Arabs just driving through that city. I hate it, and i think it has shaped my views of Arabs in general, as sad as that is.

However, I have muslim friends who are FAR from inhumane.. and to condemn an entire nation or group of people is lowering yourselves to the level of people who commited such unspeakable act.

Absolutely. Search and rescue should be the first order of business. We've seen people survived under the rubble as long as 3 weeks. Realistically, though, WTC is not a small building, and I'm very pessimistic in rescuing those people.

Given the high level of unnecessary American involvement and interference in the Middle East over the past decade, I can't say I blame them...and I do understand your point completely and I completely realize that this is what happens out there.
