OTTAWA (Dow Jones) -- Canadian media reported Tuesday that two Canadian F-18 fighter jets have forced a Korean Airlines passenger plane bound for Alaska down in Whitehorse, Yukon and suspect that the plane has been hijacked by terrorists.

The F-18s forced both a Korean Airlines commercial aircraft and an unnamed cargo plane to land in the city of Whitehorse in Canada's Yukon territory. The planes were originally destined for an unknown location in Alaska. The media report said that the Canadian military were treating the commercial plane as a hijack situation. The military has had no contact with the plane and nobody had left the plane an hour after it touched down in Whitehorse.

The media report stressed the Canadian military hasn't confirmed an actual terrorist situation, but, for safety reasons, they are treating the incident as a hijack situation until further clarification. >>

He's right. You think millions of people knew about this attack? Of course not, that's why it wasn't detected by US intelligence in the first place... (that's supposing a middle-east group is responsible, because, again, nobody knows)

Damn.... this is all just too crazy, I'm up in Toronto, and damn, the CN Tower been's closed up, along with Airports, and all US Embassies and such have been evacuated.

This tragegy is horrific, all I'm hoping that this won't errupt another war. With nukes everywhere, who knows what'll happen

WW3 would be the beginning of the end, just as what Einstein said, "I don't know what the next world war will be fought with, but the one after that will be fought with sticks and stones"

Hopefully when the Black Boxes are recoverd we'll be able to find out a lot more about what happend.

In the middle east the people live with violent sudden death all of the time. It is the only way of life that they know. The fundamentalists/radicals, whatever you want to call them have interpreted the Koran to read that the USA is the Great Satan. Anything they can do to attack the Great Satan they will do.
Even to their great peril as death in this endeavor guarantees a place next to Allah. I mean these guys are shooting grenade launchers into the air in celebration. That stuff has got to land somewhere.
The fact is that they must be disabled from repeating this act, period. It isn't a question of who admits to this, I mean who would? The time for self doubt is over. They are laughing at what they see to be as a nation unable to take action without a clear target. That the only target clear enough is one who says, "Hey, over here, I did it".
Does anyone really have any doubts as to what actions can ensure our safety? I mean absolutely ensure it? The folks over there have no idea what's coming. They only think they,ve seen something like it.
Perhaps in ancient prophecy they find their resolution. Gog and Magog. The great bear of the north. Us.
It's prophecied that the world will come to an end and so this is just the natural order of things if they get
attacked. The problem with their rationale is that we don't share them. Fanatics can't see the other side.
It's their world that is coming to an end as they know it but not our world. We will go on and so will they.
Just as Germany and Japan at the end of WWII. They will go on. They are just too dangerous to be allowed to do it by themselves.
Anything but complete and total surrender is not acceptable. I honestly believe that this will get resolved in just this manner or something similiar.
