From what i heard, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter owned like 50 floors in the WTC and they have been virtually wiped out. Their like headquarters is gone. I have no idea how they are going to operate.

They need to get these terorists and punish them all.

I don't think isildur is defending the actions of the terrorists this morning. I think, at least what his posts says to me, is that if we react with anger and attack those people, we are no better than them. And in a sense he is right, there is no proof they did it. And they have the right to feel what they want and express themselves how they want to. We live in a country that prides itself on freedom of expression, we don't have the right to tell them they can't. It doesn't make it right, or easy for us to understand. Don't get me wrong, it makes me sick to see that we are so hated, and it breaks my heart to think someone is out there rejoicing over the deaths of our people. But, it doesn't give me the right to kill them.

I´d like to say that I don´t agree with a lot of Mr. Bush´s administration, but terrorism is just unacceptable. I´m waiting for a strong response from Mr. Bush to the entire world and make of this episode a rebirth of your nation. Remember you faced somme pretty bad time back in the 80´s. Yet, Mr. Ronald Reagan showed who was in charge.

To those that are comparing it the attacks today with others, anmely Pearl Harbor, I think that you are missing an important point here. Pearl harbor was a legitamate military target for the Japanese while the attacks today were against buildings that are symbolic to our military and economic power. The fact that they involved the loss of innocent lives rather than being strategic strikes makes it much more heinous IMHO. And to those that say not to condemn a whole group of people for the actions of a few, ie. the Palestinians, you are not helping your cause by celebrating this atrocity in the streets passing out candy and having a good ol' time. To me seeing those Palestinians celebrating like that was far worse than seeing innocent people jumping from the WTC. Flame if you like but mark my words nothing was gained here for those that committed this but the wrath of the US and we will have retribution for these cowardly acts.

I think there is nothing more insulting than celebrating at someone else's misfortune. This scene disgusted me.

The problem is this - their "crime" in celebrating over this event would not justify their deaths.

If we heard that Palestine had been annihilated by Isreal just this afternoon, how many people on here would be celebrating?

Would you then cease to posses the right to live, just as you have pronounced this death sentance on those who are celebrating over the atrocity that happened today?!?
