That's not slick at all. I guess if you're part of today's "Look at me! Look at me!" myspace generation that can be considered slick, but in my book, a personal moment such as a marriage proposal should be intimate, not some spectacle.

I think that depends on the person. This guy is obviously a performer and that's more than likely something that she loves about him. It's also likely that she's a performer too. For the right couple this is the right kind of proposal.

Here's the problem I have with these types of big open proposals. What if she doesn't want to marry you??!!! You are either going to end up forcing her to say yes when she doesn't feel like it cause how the hell do you say NO in a public moment like that? OR if she does say no you will look like the biggest fool on earth.

Slick? Lol. Attention whoring at it's worst. The singing reminded me of a bad episode of Barney and Friends.

Don't get me wrong a proposal in public can be awesome if you do it right, but it should be more subtle with the focus on the couple as opposed to the spectacle, and it's best if others aren't so extensively involved. ie: Public proposal in a restaurant, everyone sees you get down on one knee and takes notice. Applause afterwards. That would be slick.
