I believe a lot of you voted "early as 6 months" in the how long do you wait until getting married poll... Almost all said at or before the 1 year mark is good enough. So... what the fuck?
Anyway, good for this guy. Some people get married quick and have happily ever after... If you really click with someone that well I don't see why not.

People!!!!! It is probably a show put on by Disney! Why else would they all have mics on?
I didn't see any on them. :-/
Of course the guy could work at the park and have set this all up with some entertainment people too.
But it seems very much like typical streetmosphere type stuff that you see at the parks.
I did listen to the sound, and I realize it is good..... but they could have special mics from a distance.

That's not slick at all. I guess if you're part of today's "Look at me! Look at me!" myspace generation that can be considered slick, but in my book, a personal moment such as a marriage proposal should be intimate, not some spectacle.
Translation: That's better than anything I'll ever be able to achieve so I hate him for it.

I haven't watched the video yet, but jesus christ... a year isn't a trivial amount of time. I know quite a few couples that dated for less time than that, who have made a marriage work for 20+ years...

The girl didn't. The singers did.
You can tell the dude is a performer, as are his friends that worked with him on this plan. I'm sure the park approved b/c it would be "a nice thing for guests to be a part of" blah blah.

i think that dude might actually work at disney as a performer which is how he pulled it off... uber lame though, no thanks.

Here's the problem I have with these types of big open proposals. What if she doesn't want to marry you??!!! You are either going to end up forcing her to say yes when she doesn't feel like it cause how the hell do you say NO in a public moment like that? OR if she does say no you will look like the biggest fool on earth.

you have to be the most epic moron to NOT know if the woman youre with would marry you if you asked her............. its usually something thats somewhat discussed in a relationship. pretty stupid of that guy to be THAT clueless.... then again, it could have been fake.

Which translates to, "it's good publicity".
