There is a poll on the blog -- Reset the game after new hardware is up? 82% say YES.

I voted YES.

I'm really torn about what streets to buy initially. I mean, should you go straight to NYC and buy something on Manhattan? Should you go to your local neighborhood?

Maybe if we knew what the hell we were doing we can offer suggestions.

You're suppose to find a street you want to buy, then it sends you through registration. However since it's not fully up that part doesn't work.

Thanks, that makes sense .

Now with the reset coming..not sure if it's worthwhile to even try until it's reset.

Seems to be working ok now. I own a few streets with some properties. Will have to wait until tomorrow to see what happens with rent and stuff. Be interesting to see what happens when you go bankrupt.

It seems the smart move is to buy only one or two small streets, around $300k each, and then build some decent housing since you get much more money from those then the rent on the long expensive roads alone.

Or simply make multiple accounts and transfer all the money to one since that's what it looks like a lot of people are doing.

It looks like there is not much to do since your income is on a 24 hour time table and the cards that can give you bonuses or negative cards to hurt others are totally random.

Not to mention it looks like a a bunch of cheating is going on and people are already starting to spam people with minimal offers on roads because if you don't do anything with the trade offer after 7 days the other person takes control of it.

On a side note it looks like when the free trial is over on January 31, 2010 that Pogo will take the game over and turn it into their subscription service.

struggling to load anything on the game but I have purchased both a big name street and a no name side street. I have noticed the rent values for buildings (200k building rent is 175k on big street vs ~25k on small street) is significantly higher for big name streets than no name streets... little reason to purchase the small streets if your goal is to maximize rent.
