I hate to say it but this ought to teach you a lesson, never ever leave anything valueable in your car.
Last summer someone broke into my car, and it turns out nothing was missing.... mainly because i have nothing valueable in it.
Got a new window and all is well.

Dude, he already said that he understands this. The LAST thing he needs right now is someone saying stuff like that.

Agreed, screw off shabby.

Dude, I really feel for your loss. I had a whole bunch of stuff stolen out of my vandalised car and it really sucks. I'm sorry that nobody can do more.

Oh man that really really sucks. Read what Pocahontas wrote, because after what happened to you, I'm not about to do that and it may help a lot. Sadly, this was something that may have been better if prevented and may be impossible to rectify. Next time keep things like that hidden in your car (I have to do that to my iPod). Also, I'm sure you know this already, but DC is a very bad crime place.

Good luck with any help you can get.

Read your policy.

Look under section c personal property. Most homeowner's policies will cover personal property located off the premises up to 10% of personal property limits. Some also limited this to a max. of $1000.

Then read special limits of liability and see if business personal property has a limit amount or is excluded from coverage.

I would file a claim is the ded. is $500 or less and policy provides coverage.

Got to have a police report if you file a claim.

Crooks arn't smart enough to try "any key" in the odd chance it will open your trunk. However they know that "any brick" will open and car window. Anything hidden behind even a broken lock is safer than some secured only by a pane of glass.
