Worst game you've ever played?

My official vote goes to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

After my 29gb download on steam.... I get blessed with the worst graphics and animations I have ever seen coupled with the most mind boggling UI in existence. This game wasn't even worth the 5 dollars I got it on sale for. It's like a tech demo for the most unrealistic physics modeling I have ever witnessed. How someone thought that a sequel was a good idea is beyond me.

The Force Unleashed was pretty bad I agree. Not the worst ever but the fact they decided to make the lightsaber nothing more than a glorified foam baseball bat was an instant buzz kill for me.

The console version of Force Unleashed is leagues ahead of the PC version, which is plagued with bugs and glitches. Still can't believe it was 29gb.

Worst game I ever played was Lock On: Modern Air Combat for PC. The game that started my Ubisoft hatred. Fully patched and on a system that exceeded the recommended requirements (not the minimum), it ran like a slide show.

Blazing Angels on PC, another Ubisoft flight game, gets second place. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get sound over my X-FI. It was apparently a very common problem. It was a fault with the game and not the sound drivers. Ubisoft eventually told users they weren't going to patch it and locked all forum posts relating to the issue.

Well, its not a PC game, but it counts as a game doesn't it...Virtua Fighther 5. Just hands down a horrible game for the retail price, its like paying 60 dollars for an arcade game. I'm glad i got it for 10 and just returned it.

What's the worst game you ever played?

Bought an unimaginably poorly made RPG called Spirit of Adventure back in the early 90's. It had neat box art, and the graphics weren't bad, but the gameplay was utterly unintelligible.

I don't know how it ever made it onto the shelf.

How could a game made by DICE be the worst game you've ever played. Some games are unplayable. DICE at least has some form of quality control.

"This Means War", an RTS game from 1996 was the worst I played. Thankfully at that time ebgames allowed you to return a game within 7 days for a full refund. At least I got my money back.

I did buy The Force Unleashed when it was on sale on steam, but havent installed it yet because it is such a huge file. Cant believe they ported that game and made a sequel but never finished up my favorite franchise, KOTOR. Guess they did not want to take any thunder away from The Old Republic. Actually, I kind of hope that game is an epic fail, because I feel they abandoned a great franchise in order to try to cash in on the MMO cash cow.

That fantastic policy saved me from wasting a lot of money on a lot of bad games in the 90's. In fact, it was because of that why I remained a loyal customer of theirs... until my breaking point ~3 years ago.

Master of Orion 3. It was so awful I'd have felt ripped off even if someone *gave* me a copy. It felt like quicksilver/infogrames folded about 1/4 of the way through development, and they just shipped whatever compiled as a last ditch money grab.

That was the last game I bought without reading reviews or playing a demo first.

I'm going to go with Neverend for PC. got it for free from a best buy giveaway when I was an employee there. Couldn't get past 5 minutes.

Are you sure about this? Aren't they the ones who made Mirror's Edge? I bought it on a Steam sale a couple months ago and I enjoyed it. No outstanding issues at all.

They make playable games. That automatically makes them heads above many developers out there these days. That's why I don't understand how someone could say that a game they made is the worst they ever played.

DICE isn't notoriously one of the worst offenders when it comes to bugs. They certainly do have bugs, but they very rarely have 'game breaking' bugs the kind that would put you on the map for making buggy shit.

There was certainly some bugs in BF2 that should have been patched A LOT sooner, but all of them were relatively minor, like the wrong team color bug, etc. Lots of their issues are from the number of cheaters that flock to their games, similar to CS and other games of this nature.

Also, Force Unleashed is fucking horrible, but I wouldn't call it the worst game ever either. I'm having trouble recalling my worst ever game, probably because I've blocked it. I've played some supremely shitty games in my time.
