DICE isn't notoriously one of the worst offenders when it comes to bugs. They certainly do have bugs, but they very rarely have 'game breaking' bugs the kind that would put you on the map for making buggy shit.

GTA 4 was a pretty major letdown for me.

Not only did they remove just about every fun element from earlier games in the series, but it was so riddled with bugs that I literally could not finish the final mission of the game and just ended up watching it on Youtube.

Not to mention it was hell to install. After spending hours trying to figure out how to get numerous different forms of DRM installed on Win7, I then had to PATCH THEM OUT!!

I wasn't really considering older games when thinking about the worst games I've played. Back then I didn't have as good of a grasp on what was good and what was bad. I really only played doom, wolfenstein, and descent back then. Loved all those games to death.

Back then the line between good and bad wasn't as pronounced as it is these days.

Many modern releases are unforgivably bad these days in game development. It's pretty sad when a few modders are releasing better content than huge development teams with a lot of monetary backing. Quality in the gaming industry just seems to have taken a nose dive in favor off quick profits of the less discerning console masses.

I feel that more and more PC gamers (heck consolers too) are getting extremely fed up with the hype surrounding sub par releases, and game sales will soon start reflecting consumer's attitudes.

I remember the Breed demo being atrociously bad back in the day. I don't really have any good answers though, I normally forget about the bad games and move on.

Yet it shares a lot with Crysis.

It's actually in my opinion the best implementation of DX10 into a game. Boosted the graphics quality immensely and didn't hit the frames too hard.

Might and Magic 9. Was a fan of the series, but 9 just sucked. Extremely boring and had nothing going for it.

Ultima 9 was also pretty bad if you had played the previous games. Terrible childlike story.
