I must be a glutton for punishment because I keep trying to progress in The Force Unleashed, and it keeps getting harder to stomach...

Trying to fight the 3rd jedi boss is retarded. You get stuck on everything, and half the time you can't lock onto him so all your attacks miss. The only reason my mouse didn't get a flying lesson is because it's a g700 and i just got it yesterday...

I have a feeling a cordless mouse is going to be a bad idea if I get pissed at some shitty game someday.

Terminator 3--Basically Deathmatch with Bots that look like Terminators. I could have easily duplicated the experience the experience with some Custom Models and Maps in UT2004.

I was playing the T3 pinball game the other day. It's pretty good; not the best pinball, but pretty good.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but this game is one of the worst games I've ever seen.

I spotted the G700 as a potential replacement to my MX Revolution, despite it's extreme expense. How are you finding it so far?

If I had a flying session with my MX Revolution, I might lose a 47" 1080p LCD TV so I try to curb my enthusiasm

You know, this one is a lot harder then it seems. Primarily because if the game is bad, I generally stop playing.

How do you guys buy so many awful games? I'm not saying that I've never played a bad game before, but not as bad as some of the ones listed above!

Sometimes you really CAN judge a book (game) by its cover. When a game is has the words "Big Rigs" in the title just put the box down and slowly walk away - simple!

I can only conclude that some of you must be choosing your next game with the spin of a roulette wheel.

The most recent game I tried that was pretty damn terrible was Warmonger. It was a free PhysX tech demo FPS game developed for AEGIA (I think it was developed prior to the NV acquisition). The status of their web site should give you an indication how successful this game was: http://www.warmongergame.com/downloads.php

Aside from that, most games from Ubisoft are bad. They tend to have a few interesting mechanics, but the overall implementation is boring. Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed 2 (bought this because everyone said it was so much better than AC1 - they lied!), and Far Cry 2 were all Ubisoft games that actually had potential but turned out being boring as hell.

A few recent games I haven't played the look pretty bad (perhaps people who have played can comment):

Singularity
Alpha Protocol
Dark Void

Since you brought it up, Assassin's Creed is the worst modern game I have ever played. It was so boring and repetitive. I could not stomach more than an hour.

Really? That's the worst game you ever played?

You must've played a lot of really great games, then...

I'm generally good about never buying the bad ones to begin with. However, I did make these mistakes:

*Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor
*Elemental: War of Magic
Played 'em both til I just couldn't take it anymore (didn't take long)

*Final Fantasy 13
God...people kept telling me it was a good game, so against my better judgement, I played through the entire f' in story, cringing at the ENTIRE script, most of the cutscenes, most of the voice acting, the battle system...the graphics couldn't make up for any of it.

At the risk of getting flamed/being called a troll:

Resident Evil 1. Actually it was the REmake for the GameCube.

Two reasons:

1. Controls
2. Camera

Both so bad they rendered the game completely unplayable. It may as well have not loaded. It doesn't matter how great the rest of the game is if you can't actually play it.

I never liked Dawn of War series, not sure if it's the blocky graphics or the theme of the game, just didn't like it. Resident Evil series also another one I hated, maybe just didn't like the theme of the game. but couldn't play for more than a day.

You'll probably get told both are there to heighten the tension - but yeah, they sucked. And it was still a vast improvement over the original RE1 controls.

The g700 is amazing. Only drawbacks I have with it right now is it seems to have a slight jitter in cursor movements when in power saving mode on the desktop. You can set the power use to max all the time and smooth it out, but it's detrimental to battery. Battery seems to last about 10-12 hours anways so it's not a big deal.

Also, the macro's refuse to work for me for some reason. I can't get it to record a delay so reload interrupts and stuff for cod4 won't work.

It switches seamlessly from wireless to corded, but the cord is a little stiff. It's a common connector though so softer cables can be found easily. Other than those small gripes I love this mouse. Now I'm thinking about spending 160 on the g930 wireless headset. Wires are so passe.
