Worst lead singer voice?

I love both of their bands, but sometimes James Hetfield's and Russel Allen's voices don't seem to "fit." With the former, sometimes it gets annoying if I've been listening for a while.

Dylan rocks. I have almost every recording in one form or another. I also have the Zimmerman 10 of swords bootleg album set. I paid $175 for back in the late 80s. A lot of the material has subsequently been released, but it's still cool to have.

I think this thread simply illustrates how many emo/screamo bands ATOT managed/manages to ignore. Dylan? Really guys, Dylan? The WORST lead singer? Come the fuck on. Would I ever call him a great (or really even "good") vocalist? No, no I wouldn't; but he's leaps and bounds better than the WORST ever. Have you guys ever heard the pre-pubescent female sounding male leads on half the emo/screamo bands out there? THOSE guys truly suck.

Another word on Dylan.. Take songs like "It Ain't Me Babe" or "The Times They Are A-Changing" .. his folky voice is perfect for them.

Wow I'm impressed that Rush gets mentioned off the bat. Gone are the days of them being an obscurity in these forums where I would have to mention them and one or two fans might wake up. Must be cuz they went on Colbert, eh?

Geddy lee is not human. Or at least part female. He has all the high-pitched wailing singers beat with that out-there voice. Especially if you listen to the old albums. So yeah, it's an acquired taste, but one more thing that makes Rush unique. at least it's consistent. And no one can cover it.

I like the music from GNR, but my r/m used to play them all the time and after a while you get the feeling that Axl Rose has his balls caught in a vice and just wants a gun so he can kill himself.

I have to say I have not heard nor care to listen to these new fangled "emo/screamo" bands. Even more so, now that you say they are worse than Dylan. I'm sure I have heard worse than Dylan. I just cant recall when or where. I probably turned it off or ran away, quickly.

But to answer the OP, without question, Courtney Love. She sits atop a giant throne in the palace of suck, and all the other shit bands and their singers pray to her.

I kind of laughed. When I first read Beev's post I thought "Wait...Creed and Nickleback...those are different bands?" Somehow my brain had just meshed them together.
