I used to like his books when I was younger (haven't read any in years) but all the movies made from them almost always suck major ass. Shawshank Redemption is an exception though.

I just finished watching "Secret Window" which is based on a short story of his, not half bad, not great, but not bad..."The Stand" was another good one that I enjoyed and also "Stand By Me"...but did anyone here ever see "SleepWalkers"? That one rates the worst Steven King movie of all time, even worse than this, I think somethingawful.com summed it up nicely in this review.

I liked the book, saw the trailer, realized movie was going to be a suckfest, stayed away...

I bet "Cabin Fever" is worse. Just saw that the other day. The previews when it was in the theater a year or more ago made it look really cool. It was reaaaally bad, bad to the point I was almost angry, and my tolerance is quite high for bad movies. I probably thought Dreamcatcher was "ok".

I didn't say "a" movie, I said "the" movie, so I'm not making a broad generalization. I'm specifically talking about 9/11, which can hardly be compared to a Nazi movie. Bad analogy.

i liked cabin fever better. also, u can tell they had a much larger budget with DC...famous actors....all flushed down the toilet.

Movies like this have me turning to rottentomatoes.com before I spend any of my money/time. There are the occasional films I enjoy that get panned, but heading there first invariably gives me a better idea of the quality I should expect.

Btw, I find it funny that all those highly intelligent morphed out space aliens couldn't reach OUT of the forest to infest the world thru the water system as orignally intentioned. That race of aliens would OWN us sooo easily.

also, it was in the middle of a BAD winter,...and those slitherins are like snakes, they can just tunnel through the knee deep snow and get out of the so-called quarantine/containment area. Plus, snow means water, there's no way in hell those aliens can be contained. This entire movie, as i said, is one HUGE mutha plot holes-fest.

I would rather watch Cabin Fever every day for the rest of my life than to see Dreamcatcher again.

I think that, in an age where outrageously bad movies are more often the norm than the exception, Dreamcatcher is in a league of its own.
