I bought it used for ~$200. His friend has been to tournaments and such and knows what's decent. I don't really know anything about it. Looking back I realize how stupid it was to buy it. I was all gung-ho about it and thought it would be fun, but realized that it was too expensive a hobby.

Assuming you are a male, its not a poor purchase.
All men not in the military should have a suit, even if you almost never wear it. (Men in the military should just use their full dress or class A when required.)

About two months after I left the Navy I got a suit. Only worn it twice but I still keep it and I'm not sorry. Its just one of those things a guy should have.

I bought a bowl of Simply Asian noodles at the store. By the time I got around to eating them, they were a month past the "Best By" date. I tried to eat them anyway... ew. I couldn't do it - ended up throwing them away. Waste of a couple bucks!

Well...doesn't apply to me since I got a free ticket from a friend but one of my good friends and his wife paid $800 for two lower level tickets to the UT - Memphis game this weekend. They're both huge Tiger fans but I am sure they were rethinking the purchase right around 11:00 PM Saturday night after the loss. A win and it was a great time and easier to justify the money...a loss and it's a kick in the gut and a "wtf did we just do?".

I'll have to say, not really computer related but I recently bought a pretty big amp for my bass guitar setup. I feel bad about buying it since, I live by neighbors that are home all the time not letting me practice very much and the thing takes up a lot of room. Not that I don't regret the purchase it's more like wish I would have the room and time to use it.

A road bike (the kind with the thin tires), this after a lifetime of using mountain bikes, my ass is afraid to get near the thing now. I dunno how people can stand the bumps on the little tires.
