Yes, it includes lens! From the VikingOP's website:

"The Rebel includes a high-powered, 18mm-55mm lens with a wide area, 7-point autofocus and is compatible with more than 50 other Canon lenses"

If you are looking for a DSLR right now, the most bang for the buck is a used Canon EOS 10D.
With the 20D just coming out, LOTS of people are dumping theirs right now.
They are going for as little as $840.
The 10D is much better built than the Digital Rebel. It also has more features.
The difference for the buyer is that it is used, and you would need to buy a lens.
There are several options for an inexpesive lens similar to the 18-55 kit lens in the $100-200 range.

Good luck finding any at that price. On Ebay and Photogon 10ds regularly go for 1,000-1,200 used.

I check before I posted. The only one that came close was a single 10d for $850 on photogon, but it was only through money order.
