Worth buying MacBook in Canada?

Exchange rate looks appealing - is it worth snatching one up during a visit? I'm assuming it's the same exact product.

Same thing? Yes.

Worth it? Probably.

Looks like the $2449 base model 15" rMBP is just under $1700 USD. (vs. $2k in US prices.)

Sales tax in Canada is higher though. (13% in Toronto.) So will eat up a pretty big chunk of that difference.

Yeah, our dollar is extreeemely low right now compared to what it could be, so it wouldn't be a bad idea. Just make sure that you're accounting for the exact exchange rate (use a currency converter). Figure out what the final cost in USD would be, including taxes, and do the same with the Canadian model, then compare the costs.
Like Dave said, taxes in Ontario (HST - Hardmonized Sales Tax) is a whopping 13%

It seems to make sense financially. Just wasn't sure if there were product differences, or if I will have problems with warranty.

The Macbook will likely be pre-set for Canadian English, but should be able to be set to US. Maybe visit Alberta where sales tax is cheaper (5%)? Looks like warranty is good in both US and Canada.
