Worth losing jailbreak for iOS 8?

I have a 5s and don't really use it for much these days, but like customizing my home screen a little bit.

Anyone went from Jailbroken iOS 7 --> iOS 8 and regret it?

Kind of want to refresh my phone from scratch too, it's been bogged down quite a bit lately and I have a lot of space I'd like to reclaim that seems lost in limbo right now.

Upgrade. iOS 8 has a lot of new extensions that replicate jailbreak functionality, but you said you don't use jailbreak anyway, so there's no reason to stay on the older version.

Haha, I upgraded last night and just saw this. Haven't played with anything and I see Cydia isn't ready, but I am happy.

Now will Saurik have Cydia compatible with iOS 8 JB before Apple patches with 8.1.1?

Saurik just release an update for Cydia for 8.1 compatibility. Manual install at the moment. Hopefully Pangu can include it with an update later in the day.

Just update to 8.1 and give it a week for jailbreak dust to settle. Then jailbreak.

Ack, I removed the jailbreak because it's not working with Cydia and a passcode. I would rather be able to password lock my phone than use Cydia at this point.

Huh? Both passcode and fingerprint works fine with 8.1 JB on my 2x6+ and 5s.

You don't realize how much of a difference F.lux makes until you try using an iPad at night without it. That bright blue light just burning into your retinas, dooming you to insomnia. It should really be a default feature by now in these devices.

That and iFile are the two reasons I still jailbreak.
