I've tried a few times, but with no luck. It's strange, after each attempted unlock, cpu ran perfect, but no-go when I change the multipliers. I'm sure I'm doing everything right, but my results say otherwise. This is how I am attempting unlock: I tape off the contacts with scotch tape, and I proceed to fill the pits with thermal compound(came with my Pal8045). I smooth the compound with a very small piece of cardboard, and let it dry. After examining the filled pits for any holes or bubbles, I tape off each bridge from both sides and connect it with conductive paint from defogger kit. Let it dry, then on to the next one...etc.. None of the L3 bridges are being touched, and there are no contacts between the self-made bridges. When I installed the cpu, I noticed only a 1degree-celcius rise in temps. The cpu is still stable at the same o/c speeds, but I can't seem to change the multiplier. Should I clear cmos, let the pc identify the cpu, and try again from there? not sure if this would do a damn thing. Anyways, this is why my cpu is not unlocked.
