would a reserator 1 plus cope with

just read a review over at bigbruin.com and they tested a 2.4Ghz A64 and 2 6600GT's in SLI

cpu cooling equaled that of a XP120
but the graphics cards took a nice dive in temps

so

would a reserator work on my A64 which runs slightly faster and cool my 7800GTs (which are XFX overclocked editions)

It might work ok. You have a very low power output system (for a high-end chip and two high-end cards) which is good for what you want to do. If you had a Preshott and two X1900's than you might be in trouble. I used a pretty good watercooling setup with the Opteron in my sig and two voltmodded 7800GTs. Those things never went above 34C at load and idled at 31C. They just don't seem to dissipate that much heat.

A reserator is a far cry from a high-end watercooling system but as long as you don't plan on overclocking it should work ok.

well in SLI theres not alot of need to overclock, CPU's overclocked, but i dont think it'll get much passed 2.6Ghz at just over stock volts, im really tempted to get a reserator plus 1 because its pretty much the only watercooling i can get.....theres simply no room in my case for any more stuff!

I run a res 1 with a 4400 X2 and 2 x XFX7800GT cards, temps are always low. The res 1 can handle it easily.
