The homeowner is probably a drug dealer or smuggler of some kind.

That is entirely IRRELEVANT.

I have readily accessible guns..there's one with arms' reach right now, actually. Doesn't mean I'm a criminal.

Nonsense, he sounds like many of my neighbors (cameras, alarms, multiple firearms strategically placed, etc). Some people just like to secure their home.

I'm not saying there wasn't possibly more to the story, but I'm not surprised at all that he has that kind of security. It's common.

I would amend that with 'It's common in my area.', cause your statement is not true for the general public =P.

Mexico Drug Violence Spilling over into US

I think this took place in Phoenix, and i would also guess the home owner owed the drug cartels money and/or drugs and the clowns on camera were hired to collect or kill the guy.

Let me run down on me.

Multiple firearms (including at least one scary black rifle)- check
Alarm system - check
front and back door security cameras - check
Security Cameras outside - fail
drug dealer - fail
criminal - fail

Well at least I passed a few of the items.

To his right of self defense. You're painting the homeowner as a bad guy, and it doesn't matter.

OMG!

Two shots through the windshield aimed directly at the driver - that guy may be dead about now.

Broad daylight this happens - gotta wonder why the "house" was targeted.

or why he has so much security that he has cameras all around his lot....

cameras are cheap today and one of the best ways to at least try and ensure your burglars are caught. Anyone knows that's been robbed that dusting for finger prints rarely helps.

Apparently you forgot to read the rest of my post.

If you're not implying anything, what's the purpose of 'he's probably a drug dealer'?

I flat out stated first that there's more to the story. You are welcome to add your own conjectures too.

And my point is that it doesn't matter whether or not there is more to the story. Bad guys show up, bad guys get shot at. The end.

No one, but that won't stop nutty right-wingers and their righteous indignation. They tend to explode into a tirade of pro-gun rhetoric if you so much as fart in their general direction.

I'm going to listen to music and drink Pepsi. Discussing things with you is like arguing with jello.

I wouldn't read so much into it. I don't see any editorializing, they're just stating the facts. It's not much of a stretch to relate an M16 to an AR-15 since they are related. You can't tell which it is from the video, and it definitely could be fully automatic.

Most people would stop with a "I see what you did there" or similar but you kept going and going

i think i would have put at least a round or 2 in the radiator as well.

if he was using a decent caliber rifle, he would have penetrated and maybe even smashed into the block. then he could have taken them out at his leisure.

When you spend as much time on here as I do, it can be difficult to tell the difference between intentional stupidity and the natural form.

Except for rogo. He is unique.
