I do this about twice a week when we're not buried under snow. Things like this depend on what facilities you have at work. I ride about 20 miles each way for the exercise on my road bike as I'm a roady and can't always get in enough miles training during the week with my job. I have to wear slacks, dress shoes, and a button down everyday. Basically a suit sans the jacket.
My suggestions are based off if you're a sweater or not. If you don't sweat, not an issue:
If your facility has showers, it's easy. Wear cycling cloths and bring clothes in either 1) in a backpack, but can get cumbersome with dress shoes, slacks, shirt, undies, showering items, etc. 2) bring stuff at the start of the week and use it as you see fit until wash day. Shower at work and change in the locker room.
If your facility doesn't have shows, do the same, but bring baby wet naps and wipe yourself down. You're gonna smell like a baby's ass, but at least you're not going to smell like ass.
It's great exercise and saves me about $6 to $7 a day, which over the course of a summer gets me at least 1 new bike part! And it's a good excuse to go drop some money on a $5k bike...."but honey, I'll also use it to commute"
