Would it be safe to tape some wires using scotch tape?

I'm rewiring my case and I have run across a problem. Since I started by putting all of my wires behing my mobo tray and then pulling them foreward when I need one (all the while trying to keep my case as clean as possible). my question is: Can I tape myspare wires to the back of my mobo tray using scotch tape? In all of the pics Ive seen, they used duct tape. will there be a difference? Help!

As long at they're insulated wires (you didn't scrape the plastic/rubber stuff off them), then you can hold them back there with whatever you want. (zip ties, any kind of tape, twisty ties, gum , whatever)

The difference is that duct tape will hold for more than three days.

temperature tends to cause scotch tape to let go...electric or duct tape is best if you dont want to retape every few days

I have parcel tape on some of my wires, but they are in low-temperature conditions (ie: 35c at the max I would guess).
So yes, it is safe.

Why use tape at all? Plastic twist ties are neater, cleaner, and easier to tie wires back with.

Tape leaves sticky residue - any kind - duct tape is the worst for that.

Some garbage bag twist ties would probably work better....
