Would you be interested by Halo 3 for PC ?

Halo doesn't stack up to PC shooters. Besides, I have TF2 now so I definitely don't care about Halo.

In playing Halo 1/2 multiplayer I don't recall anything that made me go "whoa, that was cool. Never did that before."

I was about to say the same thing. After reading his post I was thinking FORGE was this uber adobe style suite where you can do your own stuff, but it's... a.... map editor? We had that 10+ years ago with quake 1. Movies? I can remember several q1ctf movies that are probably just as exciting today as they were back then. Game modes? People have been creating their own servers for years with whatever game "mode" they want, with whatever settings they want. If you want something different? Vote to change it. Halo may have refined it, but the basic concept is nothing new.

I'm sorry, but you are ignorant. It's not just a map editor. Do any PC games in the past "decade" have a map editor where you can change the map on the fly in game? How about editors that let more then one person change the map live online? Editing the map live with multiple people in game?

Oh i play Quake 3 , BF1942 , Day of Defeat and UT1999 more than any online game. Just got TF2 2 days ago and i like it alot but i still wish it had more feature.

Anyways i am done with discussion :! never going anywhere as we don't do the development :! its up to valve , Epic , ID , Digital Illusions to add the features.

The game i ain't interested in at all is UT2007 because from the looks of it hasn't advanced dramatically after the UT1999. Like TF2 , good improvement of over the Classic TFT. Still going to keep playing Day of defeat , BF1942 and Quake 3.

The game i am really excited about is Front Line fuel of war , which is made by creator of Desert combat. Currently in closed , has some technical issue but the game is like Desert Combat with graphic looking like gears of war style. Gameplay of Red Orchestra. Game i was disappointed with was Quake War ET because the air and tank combat in the game is so unsatisfying. Its more fast past than UT2004 but has the RTCW ET feel. I was hopping Quake wars more like BF1942 with RTCW ET type game play feature.

I think you should upgrade your English before your computer :\

Halo is slow and annoying.

Forgot to add the PC conversions are so far behind games released around the same time (or even before), they're laughable. Quake 3 pisses all over Halo for DM.

Nah, by the time H1 and H2 hit the PC we were so far ahead in the HW and video dept that the games looked like crap. The halo series is so been there done that. I cant beleive halo 2 is vista only. I have no idea why. It looks and plays like crap. The Xbox version is actually superior. IMO.

Anyway, did any of them come with that in their editor's stock? Nope, but nearly every single one can be modified to do just that and more. As far as it stands, forge is just a map editor.

I Would buy Halo 3 for the pc if:
It came out within 6 months of the 360 release
It worked well out of the box without a powerhouse of a system
It allowed you to play against people with the 360 version without dumbing down the keyboard/mouse

One of the biggest reasons I like halo was the fact that it was on a CONSOLE. You don't have to deal with having your friends each buy a version of the game and have monster computers to play. Everyone is on a level playing field and it's great when you're chillin with your buddies. Top that off with a solid shooter, vast multiplayer options and a kickass coop campaign mode and you have a winner.

No, I wouldn't buy the PC version either. (Btw, I have TF2 also, and I love both for very different reasons)

There are better games out there to play for the PC no matter what genre you like.

But for console it's a great game. Though the console is inferior to the pc in most aspects (at leas ones i care about), it's a great way to have some fun with friends(RL).

Halo was only hyped by the console gamers who never gamed on a PC and never saw a FPS before. It was the first mainstream FPS for the console world, but for a PC veteran it was about 10 years too late.

That said I will probably get it for the 360 since I got a 360 for Dead Rising and need to get a few more decent games to justify the console purchase in the end. So Gears of War, Halo 3, and Bioshock are on the short list.

I don't think I'd buy it for PC. There are just many shooters out or coming out for PC that surpass Halo in every way. It is a very fun game to play with friends though - in fact, I'm going to my friend's house tonight to play it.

It's awesome to watch Bungie crap out a tool that lets you manipulate objects (face it, it's not even a map editor) real time with other players and all the console kiddies go ape. The gameplay mode might be interesting (for all of 2 minutes), but real FPS players don't care about something like Forge, and they never will.

P.S. I heard rumors that in BF2 they have vehicles + alternative methods of transportation other than walking by foot.! AMG it's a nantendo revolutions innovation age!
