I was the friend who had sex. I told a friend of mine about it at the reception (we were comparing reasons we were going to hell). Somehow it then got passed on to the groom (my old roomate of 5 years) and he and his now wife are both pissed about it :roll:

I could see if i fucked my SO DURING the service, or fucked her on the alter or something prior to it, but gimme a fucking break, 2 hours earlier in a room in the basement?

You guys aren't helping much... aside from proving my point. I was trying to possibly fathom why someone would be upset about it, and i'm still drawing a complete blank after a week and a half.

It's not like the church had some sentimental value to them. It wasn't either of their churches, and thousands of people have been married there. I wonder how many alter boys have been molested in it...

The service wasn't interrupted in any way at all, and there was literally NOONE in the church when we did it.

Perhaps they wanted only good memories about their wedding. "Oh the ceremony was pretty... oh blah blah blah". Now they have to deal with the possibility of "your wedding? Is that the one where bignateyk banged some girl in the basement before the ceremony? Yeah... hilarious stuff"

It's the whole "i want my wedding to be perfect" and that includes guests being on their best behavior. Doing something like that could be seen a disrespectful to the wife and groom.

exactly. since it DID get back to them somehow, i can see why they'd be upset if your escapades are being talked about as the day's gossip rather than their wedding. not that it's your fault tho

I wouldn't give a shit. Personally, I think a wedding is a great place to possibly hook up with someone. Then again, I also don't give a shit about weddings except for the fact that now the relationship can be official in the everyone's - and the government's - eyes. I place no value on any religious aspect of marriages, and I'd probably seek out the chance to have some fun in a church basement. :evil: The girl of my dreams is one who has the same exact views.

Then again, I also hope to have a relaxed and casual wedding, far from the grounds of a church. My sisters was awesome... rented beach house, barefoot casual wedding on the beach.
