ahhhh, but you see I was pointing out what most people want and would buy the ps3 solely for if not another game. FF6 is actually my fav of the series... but I don't care if they remake it or not, its already pretty much perfect. A higher difficulty would be cool though.

FF7 is THE one to do a full fledged remake that would push PS3 sales up considerably, wouldn't you agree?

The thing is, even though Squareenix has said before they are not making one... between that one tech demo & the fact that they remaking or adding sequels virtually EVERY SINGLE game in the series, one has to wonder... the fact that everyone talks about an FF7 remake is another sign, it's what everyone wants. The only reason I can see Square NOT doing it is... because they are scared they will let fans down. FFS though, FF7 is the ugliest game now. It hasn't aged well @ all.

GOW2 was on par with the original. The sameness was a let down, but all the new (minor) tweaks & additions were great. It's virtually the same game. Think of them as episode 1 & 2, etc.

I think i'm going to buy a ps3 for bluray and rock band. ITs a solid blu ray player, at the same cost as most of the others, and i get a free game player. i already have an xbox 360, but it doesn't play nice with my projector and i want rock band in that room. Seems like a good deal. I really wish the ps3 had some games i cared about though, but it just doesn't yet.

The PS3 has a good library if you include all of the cross-platform games, but for people who already have a 360 the PS3 exclusives are still few and far between.

For 360 owners, the wii often makes more sense as a second console (if you like mario & zelda), unless you want blu-ray.

I'll be getting a PS3 for God of War 3, but that's not the only reason. It's a big factor though.

Yes they are. Not sure about what it's going to be about, but they have been hiring.

I didn't know they were making a game! Glad to hear they are.

I just recently played through Ico. Fantastic game. You really feel like you're in a different world. Both games had excellent endings too.

The real thing is though, regarding cross-platform stuff, the PS3 runs everything MUCH MUCH worse or not as good. So I don't know why anyone would buy the PS3 for a cross-platform title.

I played through hard mode of SotC, but can't complete the time trial portion. WAY too hard.

I think if Shadow was ported to the PS3, it would sell like crazy. That game would look amazing at 1080p with some updated lighting and textures - and a better camera.

Possibly though it really wouldn't be *just* for GoW3. I'm a big fan of the first two and GoW3 and a couple other big games might be enough to push me over the edge.

It will take at least 4-5 A+ exclusives to get me to pay $500+ but by the time PS3 sees that many(that I consider A+ anyway) the system will likely be $299.
