I'l be getting an X2 3800+ when the price cuts hit.
This is as an upgrade to an existing 939 platform, so its the best bang for the buck in that regard.

Where's the option that says "Already have a dual core Opteron or X2 and will not be upgrading to any currently existing processor?"
This is what I'm probably going to do. There was some mention of a new NF single chip chipset coming towards the end of the year that supports dual X16. If that chipset is good and the C2D stills maintains its lead over the 65nm AMD parts, I may go C2D BUT K8L will run on an AM2 board and I will hate myself if I buy C2D and K8L turns out to be faster and cheaper. Looks like I'll be on my present system until sometime in Q1 2007. Maybe I'll bump my ram to 2GB's until then.I'm going to stick with my AM2 4200 for a while, not even considering an upgrade until the 65nm A64s come out in Dec-ish.

I like quad boxes....
I tried to limit the number of options to keep the poll simple. As it is right now I kinda feel there are too many choices to be an effective poll (single question). I started out listed processors individually, but the list grew too large so I simplified it. Most people out there will look for desktop parts and so I excluded the Opterons and Xeons.
