Would you date a girl who wore nail polish?

i usually do a french manicure on my hands (meaning the clear with the white tips) cause I like it. I dont really think it means I'm really vain, it just means i like having pretty nails.

Personally, I think French's are the least pretty of the nail jobs I've seen.

I used heavy wording to get folks in the thread.
In reality, it is not so much that I wouldn't, but that I haven't.
I tend to avoid high maintinance, vainity, shallowness, etc....

I think the leap from "wears nail polish" to "vain and high maintenance" is a pretty silly one.
OK it's one thing if she obsesses over them. That's vanity.
It's another thing to have an interest in how you look. Would you stake the same of a girl who uses hairspray? Perfume? Body lotion?

The connection just ain't there....

You guys think it's weird that some of us don't date girls who wear nail polish? Well I think that red nails don't go well with 10 white-ish fingers. How's that for a reason? Actually it's not that it doesn't "go well"... it's not very appealing... not even an indifferent reaction... NOT appealing. I personally don't like any color besides clear. Personal preference. It's not weird to me... and apparently it isn't just me. My fiance does wear minimal makeup where it belongs... she learned what I liked and only wears clear nail polish - thank God.

I wouldn't classify nailpolish as some secret inner vainity, unless you also put combing your hair in that same vainity.

really? I don't have very long nails, so its just a small section of white at the top. its mostly just like wearing clear polish. i like it...

The point is, it is unlikely that my soulmate wears lots of make up or nailpolish.

I disagree with this. My wife likes to get her nails and toes done every now and then on her way home from work as it's relaxing and makes her feel feminine and good about herself. Believe me, vanity has nothing to do with it and she's not one you would look at and say "Damn, she wears a lot of makeup!".

The assumptions you've stated were the only things I was speaking of. Anything else, would not be my concern. Clear nail polish is the same as no nail polish to me, because that's the whole point of this... looks.
