I don't think I've dated a girl who DIDN'T wear it.
My current gf likes to wear it, but horseback riding tends to chip it off quite quickly so a lot of times she doesn't bother.

It's the norm, but there are a lot of girls who don't wear it either. And there are non-geeky ones. Don't mind them, Glen. I would date you with your picky choices. Seriously, I am just as picky. I can see how nail polishing would affect someone's choice. Some women worship it and it gets too much or ugly.

I never wear nail polish, and I think fewer than half the college aged girls I know wear it on a regular basis.

As for makeup... I think I own some foundation and blush... somewhere....

It doesn't make a difference to me. My girlfriend wears clear nail polish, but no makeup. She looks beautiful without makeup, and I think that's cool.
