I hate to ask.. but what about all the physical bonding experiences this could offer the father-child relationship. While it is certainly different than out existing 'system' it would be interesting parents shared feeding duties to children. I bet it would have some very interesting repercussions on our sexual dichotimy as a whole. Made me curious - anyone know any other creatures where both sexes can and do nurse?

Very true, and also imagine the social stigma surrounding it? People would run to the hills, and parents wouldnt let there kids next to a family where the man breastfed...

The main reason breast feeding is better than bottle is the colostrum in the first few weeks, so that your baby gets a nice immune system boost. Would guys secrete it?

Either way, that's NASTY and I wouldn't do it.

Mother's milk is so much better than any substitute, there's not even a comparison. Formula-based babies in general lag in development and are much more susceptible to sickness.
