Would you get a VooDoo 5 or ATI Radeon or GeForce2 GTS

This is the KYRO II. From what I got out of the review it seems to weigh in a healthy "bang for the buck".

Radeon is a good card, too bad it is made by ATi, I would NEVER buy anything from ATi again unless they work harder on their tech support and driver updates... what good is a video card if you don't have drivers?!?!?

GeForce 2 GTS will be my choice for now, but keep your eyes on the radeon line, i mean... ATi can't stay stupid forever... can they?

If you want best bang for the buck, check out the thread for a Radeon LE for $77 SHIPPED in the Hot Deals forum. A little tweaking gets you a full blown Radeon 32 meg DDR card. I should be getting mine in today

voodoo? nah, i heard those cards are really CPU dependent, so it depends on your current system. I have a Geforce 2 GTS and it rules. It is soooo beautiful, and now that Nvidia bought 3dfx, I would now continue to buy Nvidia cards. 3dfx? pfffffffffffffffffffff whatever!

I'd go for the Geforce 2 GTS if I was a serious serious gamer, but I wouldn't mind settling for an ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon either . . .

Radeon, its image quality (esp. 2D) is awesome. And I was one of those who vowing never to buy ATi again.

I would jump on the Radeon LE $77 deal if I was buying now.

OTOH, there is a whole bunch of new cards just over the horizon that could change everything-but I image they will be absurdly pricy (GTS3, anyone?)

ATI Radeon, of course!
60+ fps at 1024x 32-bit in most games, better 2d quality and so on..
I don't see why you would pick a geforce2 just so you could get 80fps instead of 60.


nope! I got 85 fps with vertex lighting under win2k!!!
I get 55 fps at 1280x1024 and 40 at 1600x1200x32!

if you ask me, nothing beats the radeon. I have the ViVo 64mb versions the 2d is crip and cleaer, 3d is eye candy and its got ViVo..and lets not forget the low price.

I have to say the Geforce 2 GTS is the best overall with the ATI Radeon coming in second. I had less problems with games when using my GTS card than I do with my current Radeon.

For features the winner is definately the ATI AIW Radeon, which is the card I have.

Swapped out my Voodoo 5 5500 and put in a Radeon 64DDR VIVO. increadible speed difference and very nice picture quality. Drivers have always been a problem with ATI but so far nothing really huge for me and my Radeon.
