Talk about blowing things WAY out of proportion! You've now made this into a full-blown attack. Sounds as though it would be just a single kick (most likely a knee, considering the limited space for much else), and here you are talking about subduing the attacker and "putting her down" and making a massive event out of this. No offence, but what in the hell is wrong with you?

Ever gotten hit in the nuts before? Obviously not.

So striking her will make one's nuts feel better? Oh, I see...
This guy should later examine how he got involved with a girl that would hit him in the first place... Might make for wiser future decisions. Women don't usually just suddenly start hitting.

Idealism's great.

I don't know if I would be able to get up and do anything. But if I could, I would probably slap/choke her. Maybe at the same time, depending on how angry I am.

Meh, just from pain I'd hit back. Without even thinking. unless it's a really hard kick. Then I'll lay on the ground for like 20 minutes, and then... I don't know.

All of you that answered "yes" are just asking for domestic violence charges. That's all hitting back is going to get you. Is that worth it? No.

Not likely. Once someone, ANYONE, attacks you, you have the absolute right to defend yourself from harm. If you kick her once she's down, sure, you'll garner an assault charge. If all you do is strike to stop the attack, nope, you're golden.

In theory. In practice, unless you have it on video, she is gonna tell the judge you started it, and judge is going to belive her.

Not with my record and experience.

Fight starts, I try to restrain or avoid (which honestly I'll be successful at). But even if I wasn't, and had to put her down, I'd do it using a correct method. Then I'd stand up and call 911, tell them I was just attacked and had subdued the attacker. Then I'd send someone out for the theater manager, explain the situation and get him to stop the film (which they will do when there's going to be police in the house). Then I'd inform the audience to not discuss what just happened with anyone around them until the police had taken their statements. Then I'd use my phone to make voice memos of what had occured for later recollection. When the police arrived I'd explain the situation, request copies of all statments taken (which I would demand if they weren't initially going to get them), an incident number, and off I'd go.

In court, I would win. Because that's how I've handled every assault I've been involved in and no one has EVER successfully sued me. Experience counts for a LOT.

Last time I checked ANY physical contact was assault (and in a lot of places even threat of contact). ANY attempt to harm me (no matter how severe) is an attack on my person, and could be merely the beginning of a more serious encounter. At the FIRST sign on violence in my presence the offender is incapacitated. Every time, without question.

If you think it's ok to hurt others, or allow yourself to be injured, fine. I do not. And the law is on my side in this. I think if people realized that any attack could result in serious consequences to themselves there might be fewer of them.

Fire Fly?

Nice reference.

I knew you let her kiss you.

Depends on if she as an actual threat. If it was just some crazy 90lb bitch I'd just subdue her. Put her in a hold or pin her on the ground. If she had a weapon or was big enough to threaten me without said weapon, I'd knock her right on her ass.

oh forgot to mention a girl has hit me really hard with a blunt object (hospital visit hard...not in the nuts in the HEAD), and i did not retaliate, it did not take any restraint cuz it was an accident and she was my best friend at the time, most of the time i was consoling her cuz she was crying so hard cuz she hurt me, while waiting for ambulance.

oh and i did not pass out, and did not fall down, but i did go into shock (meaning no pain and good amount of blood loss, light headed)

If you watch for certain cues, you can tell if someone is about to cause you harm, especially in a very painful way like you mentioned in the OP. When I notice these cues, I would change my stance to defend against an attack like that. Someone won't hit you in the nuts "just because" with a serious intent. They would have to be pissed off at you for some reason.

In some situations I might. I've done martial arts and am a firm believer that you should never underestimate a woman. Some of the most brutal martial artists I've seen were women. So if a women threw a punch at me there's a good chance I might take her down just to be on the safe side. That's of course if I couldn't walk away. Walking away from a fight is always my first choice.

I'd probally lay one on her. Just because you have a vagina won't get you a free pass with me.

I would try to not hit her, unless I am guaranteed to not get in any trouble. If that's the case, I'd break her nose.
