I think in a time when we're all supposed to be equal and on the same playing field, it's still sexist to say "I won't hit you because you're a girl." However, women conveniently don't complain about that type of sexism, but "why isn't dinner ready when I get home?" sends them into a fury. It's a nice double-standard if you're a woman.

I've told my sister and g/f that they get one freebie. One real, true-blue shot at me, for free. I don't mean like playing around or whatnot, I mean the real deal. The first one of those is free without retaliation. After that, we trade one for one. She can just take that hit and stop there and I won't do anything back, but if she chooses to follow up, then it's my turn. And we alternate as long as she initiates each round. That way, she a) started it, b) she chooses to continue it every single time, c) has the advantage of two consecutive hits, and d) has always hit me more times than vice versa. That's fair and it's self-defense. I'd never hit a female unless those conditions were met.
It's not exactly equal, and it's definitely a double-standard because there's no way I'd sit and take two free hits (or even one) from some guy, but I guess I'm just a sexist like that.
...There'd better be piping hot meatloaf ready when I get home today!
